The pond turns cold,
As it grows old,
Like a life filled with many,
Long days of sorrow and strife,
And in the end at last,
Has finally past.
This is my story, Though it has little glory,
One lesson I give to you,
Don't ever follow, What you've seen me do,
And when you start to stumble in life,
Let go of the sorrow, let go of the strife,
Convince yourself to turn and run,
Don't fall into, what I've become.
*This was another poem for literature class last year in 2008 for a poetry test where we had to write a poem. And I showed this to my friend, Amy, and she loved it. So, I dedicated this to her. Love you girl, you are a constant encouragement to me :)
